We entered the Cooksongold jewellery competition recently and decided to create an enamelled pendant with a Chritmas tree on it. The idea comes from a shortstory that we wrote called "The Mystery of the Christmas Forest".

We'll post the original story around Christmas time. In the meantime, you can have a look at the piece of jewellery that we made from it!

The forest in the background has been etched in argentium silver with nitric acid.

The Christmas tree was cut by hand from a sheet of fine silver and then soldered onto the background. We pierced three small holes to make baubles.

The tree was enamelled in transparent grass green and decorated with enamel crystals and threads. The small holes in the tree now look like silver baubles!

We'll let you know how we did in the competition! ^_^
