We've been working on them for a while and they're finally ready: the pendants, rings and earrings of our Northscape collection celebrate the dramatic landscapes of Caithness and Sutherland along the north coast of Scotland.

Pendants

Each pendant is a faithful representation of a local North Coast scene, re-created in sterling silver - a bit like a picture in 3D:

So far we've made 6 Caithness and 6 Sutherland pendants. They are on display in Caithness Horizons, the unique museum and visitor centre in Thurso! http://www.caithnesshorizons.co.uk/Home.aspx

Of course you can also have a look at the collection on our website www.nezumiz.com . And if you would like a pendant made for a specific place or from a picture we would be delighted to help! Contact us through our website or email us at nezumiz@ymail.com for a friendly, professional service.

Rings

We've created a series of rings with a contemporary feel that try to capture the beauty of the North Coast. All are handmade with sterling silver with different shapes and textures to mirror the diversity of landscapes found in Caithness and Sutherland.

We'll be adding more on our website too - rings are too much fun to make!

Earrings

Our sterling silver earrings are hand made and include quality sterling silver fittings. We love these really small pieces: they are light and comfortable to wear.

Hey there!

Here are a few piccies of the production of a  3D "draft" for a vongola ring (inspired by the anime Reborn).

This is of course only a dummy ring that we made to test all the techniques step-by-step and to make sure that the real one will go smoothly ^_^. It takes time and effort, but it's worth it because after this we'll be able to make the real thing with our eyes closed...almost :)

Anyway, the metal will be a lot thicker (especially on the sides and on top). There will be no resin overflow (we put way too much for this dummy). The contrast between the designs on the sides and the rest of the ring should be stronger, too (with a silver on dark effect) as we did not oxidise this draft.
Also, the rim around the stone with etched designs will be bigger for nicer designs (this one looks a bit puny but saved a bit of silver!^^)
More importantly, there will be a clearer design on the top under the cabochon (stone) with a castle, a banner with the word "vongola" and a little clam ^_^. Etching the designs really takes time and a lot of effort so again, this one was kinda rushed because it's only a trial.
And even more importanlty: there is hardly no polishing/finishing on this dummy (where's the point?) so the real thing will have a "neater", shinier look.

varnishing the ring (made in Precious Metal Clay) before a nice dip in nitric acid!

DSCI0011The etched ring was then enamelled in our kiln.

DSCI0016The bubble is due to the "overfolw" of resin I was saying earlier (^_^sumimasen...)

DSCI0017 The cabochon is a semi-circle (once again, without the overflow of resin it will be a perfect semi-circle!)

Same comments as above, just another view ^_^

We'll be sure to post pictures of the finished real Vongola ring!

We've finally made enough of our Elements pendants to announce the launch of a new collection! These colourful pure silver pendants are inspired by the forces of nature, Water, Fire, Earth and Air.

Natural elemental designs are engraved in fine (99.9% pure) silver, and the colourful enamels contrast with the brilliance of silver.

These are just a few of the Elements we've made so far. You can see more and view step-by-step production pictures on our website, www.nezumiz.com.
What's more, any design could be engraved in the silver and any colour can be applied, so if you're looking for a unique custom-made pendant don't hesitate to contact us!

When you love nature and you start a jewellery collection based on Japanese culture, Bonsai -the ancient art of growing miniature trees- is a very logical source of inspiration.

The cut-out tree shape in the first piece was used to make a second pendant ^_^

Anyone who's played a Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts game will know about Moogles, the adorable furballs with red pom-pom on their heads who appear regularly in the series. To celebrate the Japanese release of Final Fantasy XIII, here is our Moogle pendant, Kupo!

These are the latest additions in our Japanese collection, Ko Takara. You can find more production pictures on our website www.nezumiz.com ^_^
